Root Barrier Clear Lake

Home in Clear Lake Tx has massive roots extruding out of the soil, and passing through the flower beds heading right under the foundation of the home. Homeowner just recently purchased the home. No visible problems yet just signs of massive roots pushing it way toward her house. We came out and recommended root barrier to be installed between the foundation and the tree.

We encountered 1 issue that a major root was already in contact with the sidewalk. We didn't have enough space to install the barrier in this instance. If we would add the barrier touching the massive root we possibly could make the tree sick. The root didn't have anywhere to turn and go in the oppisite direction. So we choose to leave that root alone. The homeowner didn't want to jepordize the tree's health.

This will help save the foundation from roots entering under the house and pushing on structure.Or it helps from the roots drinking the moisture from under the home causing areas to dry up quicker. This is what cause the foundation to move and be more unsettled. We don't want the foundation to move by swelling with too much water or shrinking with too little of water. This can be tricky but we want to be able to controlled the amounts of moisture.
